Margaret Butler – Executive Director
Margaret Butler brings a background in teaching, international development and non-profit management to The Komera Project. Margaret spent a year in Rwanda working with Partners In Health and The Clinton Foundation in health-related projects where, in addition, she was naturally drawn towards education-related projects. Margaret founded the Komera Project while in Rwanda as she recognized the need to focus on girls’ education.
Alice Nyirimana – Partners In Health/IMB Social Worker

Alice has worked with Partners In Health for the past six years. She is the Social Worker Manager in Rwinkwavu and is passionate about social justice and helping the poor. Alice has been working with The Komera Project for the past four years, helping us drive our programs and ensuring that we are providing the best possible support for the Komera Scholars. Alice is a mother of two teenagers and resides in Kibungo.
Esther Kirabo – Partners In Health/IMB Assistant Social Worker

Esther is the newest member of the Komera family! She is a Graduate from Makerere University with an Honorary degree in Social Sciences. Esther has studied HIV/AIDS Counseling, project management and Palliative care. Esther works directly with the Komera Scholars on a daily basis and is passionate about girls’ education. When not working Esther likes to read or garden!
