In Kinyarwanda, the local dialect in Rwanda, Komera means “be strong and courageous”. On a daily basis we ask the Komera Scholars to be strong and courageous. On June 19, 2013 we are asking YOU to be strong and courageous and run (or walk) for The Komera Project!
The Komera Global Run is an annual event when we celebrate girls’ education through sport! Every year since 2008, Komera has hosted a girls fun run in Rwanda and this year we’ve expanded it to an international event with everyone around the globe invited to participate. Our goal is to promote girls education globally by having over 1000 people register to participate in this day of action!
